License Terms
A plain-language summary of how Live Player's license works. The complete text is right below.

Live Player has a free-forever plan and paid plans, with a permanent license. Never a subscription. This summary explains what that means in practice. The complete, more formal version is right below.
Free: no sign-up, no card, forever. Unlimited shows and cues, with every essential playback and editing feature. No ads, no watermark, no interruption during a performance. Just an occasional suggestion to check out Pro, which you can dismiss.
Pro and Organization: you pay once and the license is yours forever. Your purchase includes 2 years of software updates; after that, Live Player keeps working exactly as it is, with nothing removed. If you want versions released after that period, just renew your update coverage whenever it makes sense for you, with no rush and no penalty.
Pro activates on up to 2 computers at once (say, your main machine and a backup for the show). Organization activates on up to 5, built for companies, schools, and bigger teams. You can deactivate a computer at any time from the License screen in the app and free up the slot for another one.
If a payment is refunded or disputed, your license isn't switched off immediately: there's a 7-day grace period, and this never interrupts a show in progress. Even if the license ends up revoked afterward, your saved projects stay intact on your computer. Nothing gets deleted.
About your data: to activate and maintain your license, we keep your email, the plan you bought, and how many computers are active. The content of your shows (audio, text, cue names) is never sent to the licensing server. What happens in your rehearsal or show is yours alone.
Complete license
This text was written to be clear and direct, not as a formal legal document. It does not replace advice from a lawyer, and we recommend professional review before treating it as final for large-scale commercial use.
1. Acceptance
By activating a Pro or Organization license, or simply by using Live Player Free, you agree to these terms. If you represent an organization (a school, a company, a production house), you're confirming you have the authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
2. License grant
Live Player Free grants a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app, with unlimited shows and cues. A paid Pro or Organization license, once validly activated, grants the permanent right to use versions of Live Player published up until the end of that license's update coverage period, on up to 2 (Pro) or 5 (Organization) simultaneous computers.
3. What "permanent" means
A paid license never expires and is not a subscription: you don't lose access to the app by stopping a recurring payment, because there isn't one. What has a deadline is only the right to new versions, which we call update coverage. Once a version of Live Player has been published within your coverage, you can keep using that version indefinitely, even after coverage ends.
4. Renewing update coverage
When update coverage ends, Live Player keeps working normally, with no lockout, no error message, and no feature removed. You can renew coverage at any time to get versions released afterward, or simply keep using the version you already have.
5. Activation and devices
Each Live Player installation gets a randomly generated identifier, created locally, never tied to hardware information. The first activation of a paid license requires an internet connection; after that, the app works offline indefinitely on that installation. A Pro license allows up to 2 simultaneous active installations; Organization, up to 5. You can deactivate an installation at any time from the app's License screen, freeing the slot for another one.
6. Restrictions
You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share a paid license beyond your license's device limit, nor attempt to circumvent license verification. Reverse engineering for interoperability purposes is permitted to the extent required by applicable law; for any other purpose, it's prohibited.
7. Payment, refunds, and cancellation
Payment is processed by a third-party checkout provider. Refunds and payment disputes follow that provider's policy. Once we receive a confirmed refund or dispute, your license enters a 7-day grace period before being revoked; during that period, and during any show in progress, Live Player keeps working normally. After revocation, the app operates as Free; no saved project is deleted.
8. Intellectual property
Live Player, its code, design, and brand remain the developer's property. The license grants only the usage rights described here. It does not transfer ownership of the software. The shows, audio, and projects you create remain entirely yours.
9. Privacy
The licensing server stores the email tied to the purchase, the plan purchased, an installation identifier, and the minimal history needed to operate activations and refunds. The content of your projects (audio, cues, text) is never sent to that server. See this website's Privacy Policy for more on the browser demo.
10. Warranty and liability
Live Player is provided "as is," without warranties that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect damages arising from use or inability to use the software, including data loss or a show interruption. We recommend keeping backups of your projects.
11. Term and termination
These terms remain in effect for as long as you use Live Player. Misuse as described in "Restrictions" may lead to license revocation. A paid license, once activated in good faith, is not revoked for convenience, only for the reasons described here (refund, dispute, misuse).
12. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted on this page, with the revision date. Continued use of Live Player after a change means you accept the new terms.
